Trascendental
18 hours open air party
Huitzilac, Morelos (outside of Mexico City)
Text: CC Trigos
It was another outdoor winter party near Mexico
City that proved to be worth the cold and the distance for the party-goers.
Originally, the gathering was planned to be in the Ajusco mountain (like
Psyrcle and M?a's last party), but these party producers had to change
the location due to situations beyond their control. The new location
was an abandoned horsebackriding club 30 mins from the city. The dancefloor
was a huge open area decorated with a fluor space-age edge done by the
Ayahuasca Decoration Crew.
The elevated stage was surrounded with hanging
glowing planets and tie-dye structures. Fractal Seed (M?a) and Dj
Tantra (M?a) warmed up the crowds that started to arrive early on.
A lot of people that came on public transportation even walked a couple
of miles to the party site, and by mid-night there were close to 1,000
people dancing on the open dancefloor. Ecliptic and Epsylon two of the
most outstanding live trance acts from Mexico followed each with an
energetic and uplifting set. Maili (Krembo/USTA,Israel) then led us
through a great set including a lot of Israeli trance. By this hour
the cold was pretty bad, people kept warm with the numeorus bonfires
on the dancefloor (at least seven!) and the hot drinks in the food area.
The dj team Vazik (Psrycle) and Geza (M?a)
proceeded to delight with a fresh mix of the newest clean-cut trance
and the crowd of almost 2,000 moved to their groovy mixes. At 6 a.m.
the long awaited guests, Shiva Chandra and Mapusa Mapusa put everyone
into an ecstatic trance with their luscious live performance. People
screamed and the vibe was high despite the freezing temperatures. They
played some of their best tracks including some from Shiva's last album
Auricular. After a truly delightful performance Shiva Chandra and Mapusa
Mapusa exposed the people to an exquisite dj set that led into the morning.
It was some of the finest trance that did not let you get away from
the dancefloor! After the sun came out and people's brains and bodies
warmed up most of the party-goers were still happily dancing. At 11am
Sally Doolally stepped on stage playing solid tunes that lead the party
through an incredible end to an incredible night.
