Oct 14: Fuzzion - a Russian trance project tracks exclusively on ChaishopOct 02: Vive le French! As Dado was packing to leave Moscow the other half of former Transwave was preparing to leave Moscow for a trip to the same place... This week there is 3D Vision label party in Moscow where Cristof and Dj Lesatat (3D Vision) + Alex "T" (Locomotive Sound&Vision) are playing on 9 October! The event is really special as a designer of this event is Inga (Locomotive Sound&Vision) with her amaizing artworks! More info about the party(including a flyer by Inga!) is available in the chaishop party area. Sep 20: Solipse Afterparty, Cypher in Moscow! The next event in Moscow is the first of its kind in many respects. First of all, it's the first visit of French artists to Moscow. Second, for the first time, it'd be a world launch party in Moscow. Cypher presents "IMusic"! The line-up, flyer and other details for this ? Mark label party organised by Double Shot rec (former Suntrance rec, who got separated in two labels: Sun Trance and Double Shot) in co-operation LocoSun Promotions could be found in Chaishop party area: http://www.chaishop.com/text1/0.htm Aug 30: Solipse
In my opinion, the event of the summer for most Russians was the SOLIPSE festival in Hungary. It was the first time when a really big festival was so near to Russia (meaning low travel expenses) + no problems with visas + a special price policy by Shakespear => lots of Russians made it! There are no words which could possibly express the effect of this festival on Russian minds... Just want to point out a few nice surpises: Russian designs were preseted by a special tent by ChillOut Planet - the oldest and the best psychedelic designers tribe in Russia and this tent attracted many of party people by their special Solipse designs; at the very last day of the festival it was really great to see XP playing on the main stage - the only Russian dj who made it!
That's all for now. Next time more info on oncoming events in Moscow:
Aug 9: Slide, Amrit and Russian Forest UndergroundAfter a very good BTM party in the beginning of July Moscow was looking forward to experience as it was announced: a REAL LIVE from England - Slide. The open air with Slide was planned on 10 July by Krater Zemli organisers. Despite a very late advertisement (the party was announced just a week before the date) lots of party people turned up to see first ever LIVE from England. To their surprise had arrived most people found a security guy staying at the entrance to the location (a city park) who was saying that no party is there without any clues, so most people returned home that evening very disappointed. It turned out later that the party was relocated to a very small club, but no people were informed and as result a very few made it to there. The club was very small to accomodate even those few who arrived (about 150 ppl), no conditioners, 30 degrees Celcius, messed up line up (thanks to Aerodance djs who just came to the party but ended up playing to save the situation: Bom XP and Gabriel!), a DAT set instead of LIVE by Slide (well, I wonder Pete did it at all in such conditions!) or in two words - a disaster and disappointment - that's Moscow ppl opinion about this event. With not particulary successful previous party (with Shakta&Baraka) and a failure with this one those organisers really lost the trust of party ppl. Anyway, the pictures from this party are there: http://www.chaishop.com/text2/f/01.htm. The next event was "Instation afterparty" - a normal night-time party after an annual huge rave "InStation" in Gorky park. This time XP brought his old friend who is remebered in Moscow from his first visit in 1996 to ORBITA-II party - Amrit (GMS, UK). This time his set was a bit unusual for Russians at the beginning (some really weird scandinavian sounds) but they got used to it soon and enjoyed new sounds. Russian line-up was good as usual: XP, Gabriel, Spirit... The photos are at http://www.chaishop.com/text2/f/09.htm. Same night when most urban ppl were dancing in the club there was another very underground trance event - an open air in a forest near to Moscow. Some lucky guys managed to check out the both events and they were not disappointed as the party in the forest was really magic. Hard to describe in words the atmosphere was fantastic - check the pictures: http://www.chaishop.com/text2/f/09.htm. The party was organised by Mushroom Sound System - well done! Inspired by success of the forest open air Mushroom SS in co-operation with Suntrance organised another underground event - a trance party in remains of a factory in inhabitant area near to Moscow. The coaches were provided to transfer ppl to the location. Lots of ppl arrived to experience something different and unusual, but the organisers had some problems with the power supply, so party didn't start till 03.00am (bon fires and music from car sound systems provided a nice environment while the organisers were sorting the problems out). Oddly enough despite all the problems if you ask anyone who were there you'll hear only a positive feedback. I guess the location and the right people really did create THE VIBE for this event. Pictures from this event: http://www.chaishop.com/text2/f/07-1.htm. Jul 21: FP IV, BTMWe'd start with Fluoro Power IV - Aerodance event which took place at the end of June and was already reviewed by us. A good photoreview is available on Aerodance website: http://www.aerodance.net/260299fp.html with comments in Russian.
The following event was German Invasion - BTM label party on 03 July presented by Suntrance and Discocsid. With powerful line up (including Laureth, Yak, Anunnaki (LIVE) from German side and Spirit, Pubert, Pulsar, Lenin, Toni Lizard and Fish as Russian support) this was the second big party by this organizers and the second success! It seems these guys are going to shake Russian dancefloors again and again!
Contrary to some doubts how Moscow would meet <<German>> sound the crowd seemed to enjoy it from the very beginning although it was the first 100% German experience for many of them.
A nice afterparty brought even more German influence to those who started really getting into it.
To be continued... Jun 29: Fluoro Power and German InvasionWhile all intergalactic forces were resting with peace on Aerodance some traitors (Suntrance and Diskoxide) were planning German invasion(BTM Records, Shakaree). According our inside sources the massive intrusion would start on 3 Jul. I hope that Russian underground trance resistance would be ready! Check the exact plan of invasion including more information about participating German forces: BTM Label Party in Moscow!
Jun 6: First Moscow'99 Open Air!Sounds like a dream? Well, Aerodance just proved that it's not just possible but it's possible to organise it in a way that all party people agree that THAT WAS IT! You can check a few pictures here: http://www.chaishop.com/text2/f/03.htm! Thanks Aerodance! What's NEXT? TOP 20 by Russian djs or What would you hear on the Russian dancefloor in May.
May 26: Phantasm in MoscowMay 2: Twisted's gone, Phantasm's coming
Next big event in Moscow would be Phantasm party presented by Krater Zemli (another young trance promotion team)
