I wrote a few words about this project some issues ago. Hovek Olam is a group of independant artists and companies working together to realize a vision. A vision which can be described as an opening to the various kind of trance and art coming from this movement. Hovek Olam is led by Ran Mor, a Israëli artist living in Germany and who used to make such great decoration at Natraj Temple. He is coming now with this project and a book whi show his work. A very professional booklet in a large format to show to all kind of people that music and painting are connecting and to explain to people out from the scene that art and culture in trance start to be very strong now. This comes together with a CD also called Hovek Olam dedicated to Chris Aulfes and bringing together four labels including Aurinko (thanks Tim !), Shiva Space Technology (Same for you Jörg), Hadshot (Danke Yaniv) and POF. All profits from the CD will help children around the world and this is coordinated by Youth Ending hunger e.V. If you want to get informations on this collective project and receive information about the Hovek Olam concept, you can call 08152-96 66 82 or e.mail at hovek.olam@moving-people.net.

Sound bleeps !

Lots of fresh stuff coming for the summer. And from what I have heard we gonna have lots of good good music to party. First the summer hit should be the remix of "Smoke My Dang-A-Lang" from E.Rection done by X-Dream. A really mindblowing track which leaves you on the ass when it stops. This is coming out on Peter Hubers High Society Label. Some other remixes of this old classic are made by Electric Universe, Paradise Connection... Watch out for this ! On the same style of heavy killer trance, the latest stuff from System Busters and Tristan are groovy and pumping. We can also hear on System Buster the influence they got from the X-Dream sound which is coming now very big everywhere. On Logic records, if you remember the old classic "Brainticket" by Ramin, this comes out again with original versions and a remix by Der Dritte Raum. Funky progressive techno trance. The album from Der Dritte Raum is ready and should be a killer. You will know more about it in the next issue. The new Total Eclipse album is ready for a while and should be released in September on Blue Room Released. In the meantime, they will release a mini album called "Are You Abducted" including 5 trance tracks. On the album will be more experimental stuff ranging from jazzy beats to more rock stuff. "We can't give any definition of this new sound, says Loïc, but it's really something else". Also, Total Eclipse recording is now ready and from their own label, they start to licence artists they produce. Tracks from their productions to be released under licence on Blue Room Released and TIP. Also from France and on Distance label, an album including productions from Question Marks (Dado and friends) is ready.
