(switch to french version)

It was my first time on BOOM and i´m still impressed by the scenery and the location and all the nice things happened there !

I went to Portugal with DJ Vazik from Mexico and we arrived at BOOM on Wednesday the 21st at nearly midnight because we waited for the FRIENDLYBUS in Lisbon for over 4 Hours ! The Bus never came to the Orient Station al- though we called the GOODMOOD TEAM five times but only a little annoyance. We took the train to Castello Branco and after ten minutes the carrier was full of freaky funky people from all over the world, smell of inscence was in the air and it was for sure the best train ride i ever had in my entire life!

From Castello Branco to IDANHA A NOVA we had a not less stretch- ing drive with the fastest Taxi in Portugal ;-) !

We arrived while Reefer Decree tried to play their Live-Set on the Mainfloor. Tried because the power went down for minimum 10 Times! I don´t wanted to be at their position at this moment -it was really stressy to dance and stop and so on ... ! But that´s the way ...

At all the Problem with the shortcuts in the powercircuit was very shitty and it took the organizers a long time to solve it completeley and guarantee a normal So we took our time to set up the tents on the worst place of the whole BOOM location! 45 degress raising at this place - imagine us sleeping in this position. You ask yourself why? I can tell you a secret! Mexicans all- ways find the worst place to set up their tents on festivals! (Comment from Vazik after the first rays of light on Thursday morning) :)

The rest of the night we spent in a small swiss Chaishop with very nice music and a lot of chai. It was really impressive when the first sunlight showed us the whole measure of the location and the mainstage with it´s unbelievable decorations, flags and all the freaky people. After moving the Tents to a better, more plainer place we started making real party and this was actually the plan and nothing, only powercuts could stop us from now on.

So far i can remember the music was in fact the best in all Festivals i have been to this year, even if i for myself prefer minimal groovy or progressive tracks, for the FULL ON loving people it must have been PARADISE regarding the screaming crowd on the dancefloor when Skazi took his guitar to play on it or when Dede finished the crowd on sunday afternoon. But all the acts and dj´s i think did a more then great gigs this year.!

For example Sally Doolally - I´ll remeber this Set for the next years for sure, maybe for ever, i relly had goosepimps at the end of her set!

Or Phillip and Kilian (XV KILLIST), the German - Swiss progressive Combination or should i say the BED ROCKERS?

It was simply awesome music nearly the whole time! I have to mention that the Line-Up was more like an Adventure Holiday, daytime acts at nighttime and the other way round but Alpha who did the stagemanagement changed the Line-Up a few times to guarantee a good mood on the floor!

The best mood we had for sure in the cybercafé which was allways well visited from people from all over the earth. The good mood was not given for free - you had to walk a lot for getting from one floor to the other and some people may say that was shitty but i think it wasn´t the worst problem at all because you came along the Market- and Foodarea everytime you walked from the Mainfloor to the Chillout or back to your Tent. And the food and drinks were really good, especially the frozen fruits shakes avaible next to the cybercafé.

The Location itself had some disad- vantages compared to the location in 2000 which aren´t rejectible and for sure a problem for all of us Boomies! Nearly no shadow and this stitchy plants all over the place - but the big advantage of so much water, drinking fountains everywhere and the big lake
