The trance scence in Québec is just beginning and
I really didn't know what to expect. I found that party on
net (www.tripod.fr/isocele/homepage.html) ... and went!
It was a three day outdoor festival in the woods, 2hrs drive from Montréal. The place was very nice. The woods were deep and filled with the sweet smell of fern. There was a basin near the dancefloor where we could swim, which came in handy in the morning.
The music was goa and psy trance, the DJs were from Montréal and Ottawa. These guys were not international celebrities, but they delivered powerful sets and the dancers really got into it (Hi Zoltan!).
The atmosphere was great. People were very friendly and 'diverse'; from regular guys wearing t-shirts and shorts to fashion victims with pacifiers and glowsticks, hippies and ex death metal fans freshly converted to trance(!)(Salut
Dominique!). The contact with people was simple and warm. It felt like a small party between friends (300 people at most). The organization was simple but the energy was there. I'll certainly go back mext year if I can.
Thank you Manux for a great party!
