Greetings Festival-Goers!

It seems like just the blink of an eye since we closed the book on Orb Festival 2009, yet a new year has already arrived. We are happy to announce the 4th annual outdoor gathering of Orb Festival taking place Thursday, June 10th through Sunday, June 13th 2010 at Ramblewood Rustic Resort in Darlington, Maryland!

This year we are planning a landmark edition of Orb Festival featuring the choicest electronic artists from around the globe in conjunction with remarkable installations and stage designs on a massive scale. Orb 2010 will host three stages of music including full psy, top underground minimal techno, and world music. As usual, festival goers can enjoy the beautiful Orb flea market, tribal drum circles, yoga classes, meditation, workshops, kids area, swimming, the Orb festival fire, and food court (including vegetarian and vegan cuisine).

OrbÂ’s international crew is an energetic collection of specialists who are as talented as they are committed in the production of quality events. After seven years producing events in NYC and three editions of Orb Festival, our team has developed the professional experience necessary to deliver a well-planned and highly produced four day festival.

The 2010 location, Ramblewood Rustic Resort, is conveniently located less than an hour from Baltimore, just over an hour from Philladelphia, and only three hours from NYC - tucked away in seclusion a half mile from the nearest roads.

This ideal location offers a wealth of well-maintained facilities for the enjoyment of our festival-goers, including the Barn Theatre, Amphitheater, Big Top (with Dance Floor, Stage, and four Workshop Rooms) and the open-air Dance Pavilion with 4000 square feet of sprung flooring! Ramblewood also has multiple indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as the Olympic-sized swimming pool and diving Pool. Choose accommodations in the newly renovated cabins or set up camp under the skies of the extensive Ramblewood propertyÂ… a serene and inspiring experience awaits us all.

DAVE DITTMER Sonic Beating-Dj Set

As a resident DJ at the long-running Psyforia monthly in Boston, Dave Dittmer has been promoting electronic music in the Northeast for 10 years. His style includes a wide range of psytrance, from the smoothest sounds to the most high-energy slamming beats, which are combined with elements of electro and progressive to give his sets a diverse and complex energy. DaveÂ’s mixing is technical, precise, and filled with emotion, and his sets always get the dance floor moving.

Anya is a Russian dj, core member, promoter, and deco artist for the successful Boston-based Psyforia monthly run by Sonic Beating. She enjoys djing many different styles of electronic music including full-on and dark psytrance, minimal techno, IDM, and progressive. Because she started listening to electronic music over 14 years ago, her taste is wide and varied, and her passion is to just see everyone dance. Anya has been involved with Sonic Beating for two years and more recently, has taken up involvement in other projects such as FractalTribe. She has played various events in the New England area, been a featured guest on the 10-year running WZBC radio station show “Green” with Jeff Mission, and is playing at Transahara 2009 in Morocco this April

Jonathan Yeminy AKA PsyOps discovered trance in India when he stumbled upon amazing psychedelic sounds on a beach in the south of India on Christmas eve, 2002. Soon after, he rerouted his trip through Goa where he caught a severe case of the psy-trance bug. Since then, he's helped throw some of the most killer parties on the East coast of the US, Europe, and South Africa. He's part of the Noisy Radicals collective, which is Noise Poison Records, Free Radical Records, Bom Shanka Music, and his own Crooked Records, whose first VA Release is coming soon. He spins the newest, most cutting edge, full power music he can find that's sure to take you on a turbo-powered musical adventure.



TONY UNORTHODOX Psy NY-28thday-Dj Set

Tony Unorthodox is one of the cogs that make the 28thday wheel spin, and is also one of psyNY's longest active prog/psy DJs. Through his tenure as a local DJ and endless appearances since 2000, he has become a staple in the musical diet of today's NYC underground trancer. Handing out hundreds of free promotional mix CDs, including his "Summer Mix '06" and now the new "Spring Mix '07", he has always been an endless resource for good new music.



STEVE-O Gaian Mind -Dj Set

DJ Dedos (aka Steve-O) is probably one of New York City’s most respected Psytrance DJs. His DJ career took off in 1995 after playing a Nantucket Islandsunrise set alongside Medicine Drum. Returning to his Medicine Drum roots, He teamed up with Alan, Andy and the Gaian Mind crew, to help produce the first US Earth Dance in 1998. For nearly a decade, he was involved in decorating and DJing the most prolific parties in New York City at “Vinyl” and with Synthetic Sadhus at incredible venues like the Amazura Ballroom.

At the same time, the US trance scene was very turbulent with a lot of DJÂ’s searching for inspiration in other styles of music, like house, techno and drum & bass, while Dedos found him self progressing towards the morning and a more groovy, funky, yet full on style.

Lately Steve-O has been a frequent guest at the biggest trance festivals in theUS, as well as clubs all over the world. His style has made him one of the most respected and cutting edge DJÂ’s in the scene. Today the progressive trance sounds he found early on, are everywhere.

Since his NY debut 5 short years ago, Brandon has quickly earned a reputation as one of America's few homegrown international-caliber DJs. Through a combination of musical intelligence, persistent resourcefulness, open ears and an open mind, he consistently provides a stimulating dancefloor experience that fits the moment and transcends sub genre preference. With out relying on a pre-determined set list, his sets place an emphasis on thick sound texture, infectious groove, spacious atmospheres, and heady compositions with cohesive multi-dimensional construction that offer several patterns for the listener to lock in and out of. This approach has allowed him the versatility to play alongside some of the world's top producers, ranging from Simon Posford, GMS, and Infected Mushroom to Mubali, Alien Mental, and Horror Place. Dancefloors have responded positively whether it's been the east coast, west coast, Europe or even India. Brandon looks forward to contributing to yet another memorable weekend at Echo Lake.



K e N Dreamcatcher/ Bella Gaia-Dj Set

K e N has been slowly gaining recognition as one of NYÂ’s finestPsychedelic Trance DJs, as he currently works close with Kenji Williams and his Bella Gaia project. KeN comes from a diverse musical background, as he had classical training with the piano since the tender age of six. He put his hands on his first synthesizer in high-school while playing for a rock/pop band, and shortly after, discovered EDM (Electronic Dance Music- Techno, House, Trance, D&B, etc). Ever since, he has followed his passion for music, as he currently studies music & management @ SUNY Purchase College.



KeN's DJ style can be described as versatile, using precise mixing techniques, yet very powerful with a message. His deep, infectious, playful sounds will make you smile & dance no matter what time of the night He plays for the Love of the music and the people. Constantly evolving, and trying to further define the moment, to make the crowd feel special on the dance floor. ..

KIFE has been a member of Omnitribe since its

inception in New York in 2001 and is perhaps best known for being at

the helm of very successful Omni Dance Festivals in 2003 and 2004 that

set a tradition of trance festivals at Echo Lake for years to come.

His diverse musical tastes are reflected in his DJ sets, which span

styles from ambient dub to progressive minimal tech to full-on goa

trance. Now developing his live project Basic Instinct at the

Omnitribe Studio, Vlad is preparing a string of releases to come out

over the summer and fall of 2009.

Quivering Virgin has been a major force behind the Toronto and Canadian Trance scene for over 10 years now. Having discovered the Trance culture on travels Andrew knew he had to bring this energy back to his home town. He formed the Blacklight Activists with partner Jeremy R (TaPwateR) and over the past decade they have been cultivating local talent, while also bringging some of Trance's biggest players to Toronto. In the past he has released tracks under the names ISMS and Sigh, but is now focused on his project Repeat Customer with partner Will Pierson (Offmode). Always drawn by the groove he gravitated to the progressive realm of Trance. These past couple years he has been tearing up dance-floors by bringing the psy-tribe the deepest progressive techno around - always keeping it psychedelic!!

Gavin has been DJing since 1998. After a few years of practicing his skills, he began to

accept gigs and began to hone his style. In the year 2000 Gavin moved to New York City

to continue his DJing.

GavinÂ’s dance music passion was sparked by underground house, trance and techno.

After attending his first trance party in New York, Gavin became inspired by the new

sounds he heard and began DJing psychedelic trance. By 2002, Gavin was exploring

more progressive sounds. The funkier style of the Scandinavian sound was becoming

his forte. Reaching back to progressive trance and house influences, Gavin began to

incorporate the psy-trance sound with some different flavors.

These days Gavin plays a wide range of music. Expect everything from pumping

progressive, to psy-trance, to deep morning trance, all mixed with precision and a

natural feel for the dancefloor.

Festival and club gigs have taken Gavin all over the globe. Notable stops include

performances in Brazil, Casablanca, Marrakesh, Zurich, Geneva, Cologne, London,

Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Croatia. North American appearances include Cancun,

Vancouver, New York, Seattle, Philadelphia, Boston, and many more.

Gavin is an artist who loves what he does and takes both pride and pleasure in sharing

what he considers to be the most innovative music around.



SKETI Blacklight Activists-Dj Set

Sketi (Brett Hawes) originates from Cape Town, South Africa and has been mixing psytrance since 1998. Since then he has played on 4 continents and is reknowned for his stage presence and live show. After moving to Canada permanently in 2003 theSouth African import has carved out a reputation for tight mixing, fat grooves and stomping psychedelics. His style is best described as emotive with a darker edge and is best suited to late evening or sunrise.

Grains of Sound is a psybient project from brothers Chris and Jason

Sevanick, the duo also behind the dark electronic act, Mindless Faith.

Grains of Sound released their debut CD's Rays of Life (Vol. 1 and

Vol. 2) in 2007 and have been featured on many real and net radio

stations, such as Psychedelik.com, and even an on-air interview on

HFM-UK. Buzzoutroom.com said, Verdict? Buy this now! and

Ambientmusicguide.com described them as mysterious and beautiful

without even trying 4 out of 5! and the ambient duo, Carbon Based

Lifeforms commented, Sweeeet tracks! Grains of Sounds are on the

compilations Healing Ananda (Gaian Mind-USA) and Materia Musica

(Ajana Records-Holland) and a new comp on Audio Ashram (India).

They have performed at Gaian Mind and ORB festival two years in a

row, as well as several performances in NYC, and one in Amsterdam.

Their forthcoming triple album "Sine Language" will be out soon.



DAYA Dj Set

This visual artist with a musical ear has been collecting experience in the psychedelic party scene from 1993 to the present. After floating in and out of the dark and bright scenes, now he will be providing neutral tones for all the zones. Daya is also creating other fun musical projects; Humanoid, Bius, Manusia and Khusuk.
