(Alchemy Records/UK)(Nutek Records/Spain) Finally, the legend returns to his home ground for one more magical stompathon that will leave you breathless. One of the original 4 psytrance dj´s in Johannesburg (1996) who got the scene going and played at all the earliest parties such as Soft and Comfy, Lunartech (who started doing the first properly organised parties with international lineups), Mushroom Mafia and was a resident at G.A.S.S. for over 2 years.He formed one half of the production duo Bent Sentient that released the first psytrance trackfrom South Africa. With a total of 11 released tracks during that time. Starspine also played all the Rustlers Valley Easter festivals with guys from Return to the Source and Flying Rhino, and many other trance parties at Rustlers as well, also played for major Raves in Johannesburg such as ICE and H20 - in fact he helped organise the very first psytrance floor at the 2nd ever at H20, and also done festivals such as Woodstock. In addition he also organised the psytrance floor at Desert Storm and opened the festival on the first night on the main floor.“At Desert Storm we played 4 days non stop, and I played about 16 hours of sets at the party - it was legendary!” He’s played for all the major organisers in Cape Town (Vortex, Alien Safari, Groovy Troopers) and played at festivals, such as Earthdance including some live sets next to guys like Paps, Yumade, Necton, Koxbox, Dino Psaras, Hux Flux, Atomic Pulse, Logic Bomb… He’s also played a live set at the Vortex Etnicanet Millennium New Years eve Party in 2000 which was SA´s first truly international festival. Played a live set and dj set at Solipse Solar Eclipse festival Zambia in 2001 with Star Sounds Orchestra, Space Tribe, Atmos, etc. and was the opening dj at the Vortex Etnicanet Solar Eclipse Festival 2002 and have played gigs in Barcelona, Madrid and London. In Spain he played at the Omni Festival near Barcelona alongside Earthling, Vatos Locos and Shane Gobi. The Hellenic Samothraki Dance Festival "SDF" and the Tanzanian non-profit company Save Africa's Nature "SANA". To date SDF and SANA have constructed a name of quality and lots of fun in their projects. Together they organize the festival and they will also implement a wide and long-term charity program in Mafia island.
