GAIATECH is a project founded by Simone Mecozzi aka Dj Meko, in collaboration with Paolo Nofi aka Sismic.
The gaiatech project was founded in 2004, and is Rome based.
The name Gaiatech comes from a mix between life and nature, connected with technology: Gaia is the name of mother Earth, and Tech is linked to our passion for technology, in this case for electronic music production.
Listening to as many types of music as possible, no limit for ideas & imput. Playing in some big european and brasilian events, Gaiatech style is a sunrise or sunset psy, fullon Goa-trance, which makes people around the globe dance!

Influences from 70's,80's,90's and modern style musics, PINK FLOYD, Tangerine dream, Gong, Ozric Tentacles, Orb, PaulOkenfold, Simon Postford, Hallucinogen, Logic bomb, Pixel, and many more.
Rock, psychedelic rock, techno detroit, drum 'n bass....Listening all generes as possible no limit for the styles.

MEKO (GAIATECH) DJ SET

graphic designer - DJ - music producer

He grow up with any kind of rock, preferring since was boy a psychedelic sound like Pink Floyd, Ozric Tentacles, Gong, playing drum.& percussion for many years. He moved first steps in psychedelic scene going to some big festival like partecipants and after in Rome with Chimeratribe (1999), organizing big events in the capital.

He played in many parties all over his country and around Europe (London-Uk, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Croatia etc. etc.) but also in southeast Asia (Thailand and Indonesia) and south America (Mexico and Brasil).
And in some big festival like Universo Paralello 2008 (Brasil), Sonica2005/06 (Italy), Anitworld 777 2007(UK), Existence dance festival 2006 (Spain), Freack Blast 2006 (Portugal), Rhythms of Peace 2005/06 (Morocco), Sunexplosion (Italy) 2004, Solartribe 2003 (Croatia), Spirit of theMoon 2003 (Slovenia), and of course, next RE-loaded festival 2009 in Italy.

At the moment heÂ’s busy to make his new psytrance productions under the name of GAIATECH; and also minimal tecno project called MINDLAB.
He created toghter with Gino Sonica and Dj Scene, a roman capital dance music night called : reloading party.
At the moment is busy to promote re-loaded festival 2009 (www.re-loaded.org)

His style in big main stages is a perfect mix between psychedelic progressive trance ,groovy and Fullon; he can play everytime,blasting for big dance floor.
In clubs he can play minimal and IDM music.

Recently he start new djing sound,get involved in minimal techno-progressive dj set, searching new sound concept of mixing.

Actually he has 2 kind of dj set, depending from the club and from the party night/day,kind of party, kind of people go there) -fullon-groovie style (for the big dancefloor and open air parties/festivals) -minimal techno - electro (for clubs or chillout and alternative stages)

he can play everytime,everyhour, and you'll listen different kind concept of djset. try to believe!!

AROUSAL is Filippo "Fleps" Scrimizzi. Born in 1971 in Italy, started to play guitar and programming gears at 17 years old. After 7 years playing sperimental rock music, he started to make electronic music with Franco Rossi. Together they founded LOTUS OMEGA and, 2 years later CROP CIRCLES joinig ETNICA in this project. In the meantime, there was a collaboration with GMS making a couple of SYSTEMBUSTER's tunes . After more than 10 years playng all around the world with LOTUS OMEGA, Filippo started his solo project at the end of 2006. AROUSAL is the nervous system's state of activity; this state can be over-excited, by hungers, fear, joy, hate, love... and, of course, dance! P.S.
